Think about the weather. How much rain fell in your backyard during the last storm? Is this month wetter or drier than the last? Don't know? Use a rain gauge and find out!

Weather radar remains the primary tool used to analyze rainfall since it has a resolution equivalent to 2500 rain gauges in Yoakum County. That means that each resident of Plains Texas needs to maintain at least 2 rain gauges and spread them evenly to match this resolution.
